Visa is urging women business entrepreneurs in Louth to apply for the She is Next Grant Program with only one month left to go.

In addition to a year of business counselling, She is Next, currently in its third year in Ireland, gives the chance to win one of five grants totalling €10,000.

Applications are accepted at www.ifundwomen.com/visa until July 21, 2023.

According to a recent Visa survey, women business owners regard access to finance as their greatest operational problem (47%), whereas men face marketing and lead generation as their greatest operational challenge (43%).

In contrast to the 71% of women surveyed, 93% of males feel very or entirely confident about evolving their business, according to the analysis.

Mandy Lamb, Managing Director UK & Ireland, Visa said “It is clear there is more to be done to address the barriers that women-led businesses face and it shows why campaigns like She’s Next are so important. We want to empower women by providing funding, expertise and coaching to go towards achieving their growth inspirations. We’ve had considerable interest already in the programme this year and some fantastic submissions but there is still plenty of time to apply so we strongly encourage women entrepreneurs to put a little time aside and get their entries in – the process is very straightforward.”

Small businesses and organizations in the Republic of Ireland that are majority owned by women and engaged in business across all industries and sectors are eligible to apply for the She is Next Grant Program, which is offered in collaboration with IFundWomen. The application process is straightforward.

The program is intended to be inclusive so that it will appeal to a wide range of applicants from various backgrounds. The opportunity to reapply is extended to applicants from prior years who were not chosen as winners.
