The Realty+ Women Icon Conclave & Awards recently took place, bringing together influential women leaders in the real estate, building, and construction sectors from across India. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Annurag Batra, Editor-in-Chief & Chairman of exchange4media Group & BWBusinessWorld Group, who emphasized the importance of women’s leadership and entrepreneurship in the industry.
The conclave featured several sessions and discussions on various topics. The first session, titled “Redefining Real Estate for Attracting Newage Investors,” focused on the role of sustainability, amenities, cost factors, return on investment, and the growing interest of the younger generation in REITs and fractional ownership models.
The second session, “Transforming Workspaces, One Design at a Time,” centered around the design-centric aspects of office spaces. The panelists discussed concepts like hybrid, flexible, and agile workspaces, as well as the use of technology and virtual collaborative environments such as the metaverse.
The third session, “Being Champions of Change in Tech World,” involved women leaders in the Proptech segment. The speakers highlighted the need for the real estate industry to adopt and adapt to fast-paced technological advancements, with Proptech playing a significant role in behavioral change and increasing women’s participation in the sector.
The concluding session, titled “Real Talk – Inspiring Success Stories,” featured a candid conversation between Sapna Srivastava, Editor of Realty+, and two esteemed women leaders, Adv. Flavia Agnes and Dr. Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi. They discussed important topics such as accessibility to legal systems for women, simplification of the legal process, and strategies for women in leadership roles to navigate challenging situations in male-dominated management.
The event concluded with an address by Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, MD of Hiranandani Group & Vice-Chairman of NAREDCO. He emphasized the crucial role of women in achieving double-digit growth in the Indian GDP and encouraged the real estate industry to continue promoting women in leadership positions.
