After working for the fund for three years as a Principal Venture Capital Fund, Bronfeld received a promotion. Sarai Bronfeld, 32, has been elevated to Partner in Israel by NFX. The fund, established by Gigi Levy-Weiss, now has seven partners in Israel and the United States following Bronfeld’s appointment.

In its Seed funds, the NFX fund oversees more than $1 billion in assets. A fast track program for new Israeli entrepreneurs was introduced by the VC last month, with promises of funding in three weeks and a response in nine days. Five of the 402 firms who made it past the first screening and were chosen to receive $20 million in capital were part of the investment channel that NFX introduced in April.

Six million dollars in funding are anticipated for three more, subject to meeting specific requirements or finishing the establishment procedure.

The fund’s operations in Israel will be able to grow thanks to Bronfeld’s support. Bronfeld’s primary areas of concentration will be marketplaces, fintech, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence investments.

After three years with the fund, where she worked closely with Levy-Weiss as a Principal, Bronfeld received a promotion. “Israeli high-tech needs the next generation of investors,” Levy-Weiss said. Sarai has brought many young entrepreneurs into the NFX network and overseen a number of profitable investments to date.”

Having worked as an investor and operator, she possesses an unmatched ability to identify high growth potential network effect firms. She also offers the founders of portfolio companies vital support. She states, “I have a deep understanding of the pain and joy of our most important asset, our Founders, as the first employee of a startup that is now going public.”

It was the thrill of early-stage investing that brought her to NFX in 2021, following three years of late-stage investments and pre-IPOs. “When the company is young, there is a very real potential to have a big impact,” she states. She worked as an executive at two Israeli firms before becoming an investor, helping them boost their valuations by 20 times after she joined.
